New Releases from VoguE

VoguE has been a brand that is energetically coming up with some fantastic new releases and a brand that I am keeping an eye on.  VoguE designer, Zalyn Bailey has also launched her lingerie line as well as some great makeup tattoos this year and is definitely in a big development phase.

So I am going to be introducing 2 of her newest releases today.

One is an absolutely stunning cocktail dress called Alix dress.  It's a very elegant dress with a tight fit using lace for the entire outfit.  The big ruffled sleeves add glamour and movement to the outfit.  The back view is very elegant and yet sexy too with a slit up the center of the skirt.

And the next one is a nice winter jacket called Tabitha Fur Jacket.  Here I am wearing the silver colour version.

It has that class look and this will be a nice jacket to wear over pants or skirt.  As it's sold as a separate, it will be a nice item to have to mix with other outfits.  Here I wore it with a cool leather pants from Dela.

The bag I am holding here is not a new release but one I absolutely love and use very often.  It comes with a hand-held version shown here as well as a shoulder hung version and I think it's just simply adorable.

Tres Beau - Venice

Tres Beau has a new outfit released called "Venice" which I fell in love with at first sight.  I am thinking the name "Venice" came from the Carnival of Venice which had made Venice so famous, where participants wear amazingly artistic masks and costumes.  So as you can imagine, this outfit is such a fun outfit to wear and so different from any other outfit I have seen.

 Tres Beau - Venice

The outfit itself can be worn as a gown and also as a short mini dress.  Here, I wore it as a gown.  It comes with gloves that are decorated with rich red ruffles around the wrist as well as the ankle boots you can see here in the picture.  Along with that, you also get a simple mask, a mask with feather decoration, a top hat with feathers and a top hat with feathers and a face net from which you can choose what to wear with the outfit.

So not only is it a fun and stunning outfit, it allows for a variety of styling.  Here, I wore a mask with feathers but attached a pic of the top hat with feathers and net below.  All I had to add was a choker, earrings, and of course hair.  The rest was given in the set.

I've never been to the Carnival of Venice myself but this is one carnival I would love to go to.  I heard that masks were originally worn so that people could enjoy the carnival without worrying about social status or class.  What a wonderful concept!  In 2012, the Carnival of Venice will be held on February 4 and 5.  I bet you it's too late to book hotels already.  *sigh*  I'm always too late to act.  Maybe 2013?

Dress: Tres Beau, Venice
Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings: Morantique Lush, Milano Pearls Necklace, Earrings, Bracelet

Siryelle's Dream Fashion - Post #2!

I really must have liked this brand and you can see that I indulged myself in a shopping therapy in this store.  :P

Here is my first post on this brand which was posted only 4 days ago.

So this is my second post on Siryelle's Dream Fashion and this time it's a lovely dress called "Honey Moon Dress".  It's a light and fluffy dress that is so befitting with its name.  And I matched it up with a necklace and earrings from another one of my favorite stores, Morantique.

Countdown - Boulevard Promotion

"Countdown" is a new store that opened in September of this year and yesterday, it's first branch store was opened in the Best of SL Boulevard.  Commemorating this opening, designer and owner, AntoniaXp Resident, released a new outfit called "Boulevard Promotion" that can only be purchased in this branch store.

It's a gorgeous outfit that comes with the hat worn here with a skirt that is made of very light feathers.

The ankle boots I wore here are from B! Fashion where footwear are sold in one area of the store under the brand name, B! Shoes.  The red used in this ankle boots was a perfect match to the red used in the dress, which made me very happy.

Head down to Boulevard Ave. now to get this limited outfit!

A Silver Mini Dress From WigWamBam

WigWamBam was a store I accidentally found last year when it was still just opened. It's not a big store, but full of fun outfits that I would enjoy styling. Yesterday, I visited the store again after some interval and found this silver mini dress that I simply loved. It came in two versions. One with short sleeves and the other with long sleeves. My choice was to go with the long one.

It is one of those simple mini dresses that you see quite often in SL but what sets it apart is the puffy shoulders at the top of the long sleeves that adds a classy image to the dress and the bold but interesting cut in the front. I can see why designer Joodle Fadoodle wanted a cut instead of an open collar. The high collar that is made possible by having a cut here matches so well with the puffy sleeves, giving the dress a different look as well as adding style. It looks very classy and elegant just by having these two details. This is what I love about designs. A small difference can make such a difference!

So instead of a simple silver or black & white look, I decided to add some red. I did that using jewelries from Chloe which, with its 150+ colour change feature, allowed me to choose the exact red I was looking for. Also I wore a fine mesh fishnet stockings in red. This pair of stockings was great as it gives you a choice of large, medium and fine mesh using different clothing layers. Then you can simply go into appearance and choose whatever colour you wish by editing colour. This practically means there is no limit to the colours you can make.

To complete the look, I wore dark red nail polish and makeup that gave me bright red lips from Pulse Skins.

For shoes, however, I decided to go with black & white, wearing a pair of ankle boots that was released from Courtisane, a new shoes brand launched by LeeZu Baxter. These boots come in so many different colours that it's worth checking them up if you are looking for any specific colour to add to your look. And for hair, I chose a relatively voluminous hair from Tsukinowaguma which comes with a rather elaborate colour changing hair ornament. I changed the colour of the ornament to "silver white" to match the mini dress. I could have used red shoes and red hair ornaments but it seemed a bit "too much." This way, I can bring the focus to my red lips and also the big red necklace I am wearing, from Chloe.

I am now ready to head off to a fun casino night in Las Vegas and maybe some dancing later.

New Release From Styles of edo

Mami Jewell, designer of female outfits for Styles of edo, has been releasing a lot of sexy and well made dresses. For this release, she made a series of a cocktail length dress called "Coppelia." She had always been known for the quality of the textures that she uses and she's done it again! This time, the dress itself is one the most simplest of forms as you can see in the pictures below. But it was this simple form was so effective to have eyes focus on the smooth and silky texture.

"Coppelia" is a title of a sentimental comic ballet performance with original choreography by the famous Arther Saint-Leon and initially performed in 1870. This name well fits the cute and coquettish look of this sweet dress that Mami made.

The skirt part is rich and flows out naturally from the waist with a slight puffiness and adorned with lovely lace at the bottom. But again, what is note worthy is the texture. I have really never seen better silky texture than what Mami makes.

See is believing. So here are the pics and please take note of the silkiness and the beauty of simplicity.
