New Releases from VoguE

VoguE has been a brand that is energetically coming up with some fantastic new releases and a brand that I am keeping an eye on.  VoguE designer, Zalyn Bailey has also launched her lingerie line as well as some great makeup tattoos this year and is definitely in a big development phase.

So I am going to be introducing 2 of her newest releases today.

One is an absolutely stunning cocktail dress called Alix dress.  It's a very elegant dress with a tight fit using lace for the entire outfit.  The big ruffled sleeves add glamour and movement to the outfit.  The back view is very elegant and yet sexy too with a slit up the center of the skirt.

And the next one is a nice winter jacket called Tabitha Fur Jacket.  Here I am wearing the silver colour version.

It has that class look and this will be a nice jacket to wear over pants or skirt.  As it's sold as a separate, it will be a nice item to have to mix with other outfits.  Here I wore it with a cool leather pants from Dela.

The bag I am holding here is not a new release but one I absolutely love and use very often.  It comes with a hand-held version shown here as well as a shoulder hung version and I think it's just simply adorable.

An Amazing Circus Collection from Vero Modero!

Vero Modero recently released the "Circus Collection" which is an incredible collection that is not only unique but extremely fashionable.  I was very impressed with how designer Bouquet Babii took the theme of circus and created high fashion designs that can satisfy the taste buds of SL fashionistas.

The collection is quite extensive with many splendid designs but here I am going to show three out of the collection.

The first is a gown called Eda Gown Circus.  It comes with the hat and gloves you see here and I fell in love with this stylish hat and short gloves that really add to this lovely gown.  Circus horses are running in a circle atop this lovely hat!  How cute!  There is also a black version available with the same design.

Vero Modero - Eda Gown Circus

The next is "Vero Modero 'Circus Collection' - Alii Full Red Female". This is probably the most circus-like outfit of all the collection having its inspiration from outfits of clowns.  But Bouquet managed to turn this into a high fashion creation with an amazing sense of style.  This comes in three colour versions, red, red/white and white.  I added a mask and a pair of Harlequin Boots from Illusions.

And the last is "Vero Modero 'Circus Collection' - Helter Set Orange".  This is a more casual mini dress but so fun to wear!  The one I am wearing here is the orange version but there is also a red version to choose from.

You can see a lot more in this amazing collection so if you would like to see more, please visit the store and see for yourself what Bouquet has to offer.

Congratulations Bouquet on an amazing collection!

New Release: GizzA, Tricot Set

GizzA Creations' newest release is called Tricot Set that comes in four colour variations, Ultramarine, Champagne, Olive and Plume.

Here I am wearing Ultramarine which is a very deep blue that can be better described as a deep cobalt blue rather than navy blue.  It looks like it's black here but it is actually a very pretty and very dark blue.  It comes with a red leather belt and the red/white scarf with a matching colour corsage.

I decided to style this with a large tote bag and get ready for a fun shopping tour over the weekend.  Yay!  Retail therapy is always the best!

Casual Summer Look

I got this new hair from 69 Hair called Bell 01 that looks really natural and it inspired me to style a nice casual look for the summer season.

I loved this skirt I found in SHINE that was available in some solid colours as well as some patterned textures out of which I chose the Floral 01 style.  This soft flared design is something I would love to wear in real life.  I matched it with a pair of cute red flats with ankle straps and a straw woven tote bag from glow studio.

Some Releases From Gizza - Part 1 "Flower Children II"

I have two recent releases from Gizza and part 1 is Flower Children II.

The name, Flower Children comes from the hippie fashion that prevailed in the 1960's when the Unites States was involved in the Vietnamese War.  The hippie movement started in San Francisco where young people wearing outfits in bright colours often with flower patterns, wore flowers in their hair and handed out flowers to passers by promoting Love & Peace.  This later spread to many other cities in the US and these young people were often called the "flower children".  This hippie fashion later spread to other countries and became one specific fashion trend.

 Gizza - Flower Children II

This outfit by Gizza takes its name from the hippie fashion look it is based on and comes in three different colour variations.   I wore the second colour variation in brown/blue colours with a hair that wasn't exactly hippie style but something that looked as innocent and sweet from the Japanese hair store 69 called Olivia 03.  The ribbon in this hair is colour change by a menu that drops down when you click on it.

The jewelry set is from ByKay and it is available in three different colour variations.  You can also buy a prim nail set that matches the colours of this jewelry set and contains prim nails with and without rings.  I love the chunky design of this jewelry set and it is definitely one of my favorites.

The sandals are from Kalnins and comes with a HUD that allows the different parts to change colours as well as the skin and pedicure colour.  By specifying colours of each part, you can create your own design and it's really convenient as well as fun.

This is a really fun casual outfit set that is also fun to style!

Outfit set:  Gizza, Flower Children II
Hair:  69, Olivia 03, Noir
Jewelry & prim nails:  ByKay, Kalya Blue Set
Sandals:  Kalnins Shoes, Empress

Fun Styling With Colours

It all started from this new set of Gems and Kisses necklace and bangles I got at the Accessory Fair. Gems and Kisses has a new series of colourful necklaces and bangles that are sold at the Accessory Fair store that comes in a whopping 18 colours (3 fat packs of 6 colours each are also available) and necklaces and bracelets are sold separately so you can mix and match what you want to fit your taste.

I was in a mood for colours and a fun look and I was also looking for a good way to style a new pair of cool sneaker boots I got from Chapeau Tres Mignon (yes I know this is a hat store but these boots were sold there!). So I decided that "yellow" will be my theme today.

I also just got these sunglasses.....in fact two of them from Haysuriza which looked really cool and came with HUDs that allowed you to change the lens (yes I know this time, Haysuriza IS a shoe store but Hays just released these sunglasses. How confusing). What I liked in particular was the shape of the sunglasses which were really well made. Here I wore both of them to show both designs. For this particular look, however, I would go with the RetroCat No.3, which is the one with white frame and classic design.

The newly released pants from Tutti Fruitt were a perfect match to create a fun and funky look with its wild colours that sort of reminded me of the 60's fashion. Tutti Frutti is a great store for those looking for fun pants as the store has a series of funky pants you can choose from. And to pull everything together, I chose a simple black tank top with a Sid & Nancy print on the front.

Top: Emery, Tank Sid & Nancy
Pants: Tutti Frutti, Pop Girl Low Rise Jeans
Necklace: Gems and Kisses, Discovery of Mars (yellow)
Bangles: Gems and Kisses, Rings of Saturn (yellow)
*Click here to go to the Accessory Fair Fair (the bangles will be sold in the Main Store after the fair).
Sunglasses 1: Haysuriza, Michelle with HUD
Sunglasses 2: Haysuriza, RetroCat No. 3 with HUD
Boots: Chapeau Tres Mignon, Wing Sneaker Boots (yellow)
Hair: Vixen Hair, Camillia

Japan, Japan, Japan..A Sweet Casual Look

"MeteoRain" is a Japanese brand with two small stores. Designer, songe Lunasea, is currently planning to open a main store this month in March and at the same time launch new products but until then, her stores remain these two that cannot be directly reached by landmarks which makes it a little difficult to access. She still only has a few items but what she has is very good quality and I am looking forward to seeing her new designs and new main store.

One of her creations is this hoodie that comes in 5 colour variations and it can be worn by both male and female avatars. I have matched it with a sweet short denim pants and fun socks from sey and a white pair of moccasin boots from 69. The cap is also from Japan. "Argrace" is an already fairly well-known store among the non-Japanese SL residents as one that has quality items in not only clothing but hair and even furniture. The cap comes with the hair and Argrace has different hair as well as cap designs, again for both male and female avatars.

So today, I am wearing Japanese designer creations literally from head to toe. I must admit that there are very few good gown designers in Japan, but when it comes to casual outfits, they are so good with texture as well as detail. They also have some very fun items for mixing and matching too.

And this it today's casual look all from Japan.

A Cool Leather Suit From Japan

I love leathers in RL and when I saw found tiny vendor pics with this leather jacket and pants, which I had to zoom right into in order to see what it was like, I jumped with excitement. Even with the small sized pics, I could see that these were really cool and I just had to buy them. Well being from Japanese stores where prices in general tend to be much lower than other parts of SL, I wasn't too worried about the price. They were conveniently sold separately so anybody who doesn't want a whole suit but wants a cool leather jacket can just purchase the jacket without the pants. Or if you want a cool leather pants, you can buy it without the jacket.

The white pattern on black leather in this set was absolutely something I could die for. I might be a bit shy to wear this in RL but hey, this is SL! I might as well enjoy this awesome design. The leather texture was really realistic too and the jacket had shirrings on the side so that the jacket would have a nice fit while still being comfortable to move in.

For boots, I wore these flat biker boots from Drawmachine. I know many people will wear heels but in my mind, a pair of leather pants that are made as stylish pants can be worn with heels but if they look like biker type pants, flat boots look a lot more cool. Of course in RL, leathers make a lot more sense in terms of safety when riding bikes. Jeans can rip to pieces in just a fall, let alone an accident and when you do wear leathers for bikes, you would be choosing flat boots. So I feel it's also a lot more realistic and makes a lot more sense, aside from the aesthetic reason.

Cold winter should be ending soon and I can't wait for spring when bike rides will be at it's best!

A Sweet Casual Style With A Retro Look

I was walking around the Kensington sim in London, England and came across this really nice store called "Gbberish." It had casual outfits that had a nostalgic look and had retro-looking furniture displayed as well. It even had footwear! The whole atmosphere of the store was so befitting to the British scenery, looking like a store I might find in Nottingham.

This Kensington sim, by the way, is also a sim you must visit if you hadn't yet. You will find the Knights Bridge Metro station and buildings so well made with art deco bars and beautiful gardens atop buildings. So it's worth strolling around and looking around. You will sure have a great experience.

Anyway.....so here are the two outfits I got at "Gbberish." The first one, "Audrey's Attic Puff Dress in Vintage Roses" is a short dress with a lovely texture of roses with that antique feel to it which comes with short gloves as well as long ones. But I liked the sweet short gloves to go with this one. I matched it with a similarly retro looking hair style from "Magika." It's a cute two-bun look and came with a black hair band with a ribbon on the side. So I edited the hair and changed the colour of the hair band to match the dress.

I also chose a cute looking pair of shoes from "Shiny Things." I liked the retro look of this pair that fit the outfit perfectly. But for jewelries, I decided to go with the red/brownish colour in the dress instead of making everything green.

Outfit: Gbberish, Audrey's Attic Puff Dress (Vintage Roses)
Shoes: Shiny Things, Mary Geos (spring green)
Necklace & Earrings: Lucas Lameth Fashion Jewel, Han Hana Necklace & Earrings Set (violet/red silver)
Hair: Magika, Betty (black & maroon)
Skin: Minnu, MMS-LondonFair, makeup 8b

The second outfit is a bit more casual but nonetheless sweet with a retro feel like the first one. It comes with this aqua coloured socks and also a bordeau coloured pair but I chose to wear the aqua one with this ankle boots which I also found in the same store.

The boots came in six colours and had really nice "different" colours such as "Bubble gum." I just loved the whole taste that gave me a somewhat nostalgic memory of my childhood, not that I was actually wearing something like this.

With all outfits from "Gbberish", I think you can really have fun matching them up with various accessories with various colours. I'm already trying out different looks myself!

Gbberish - One Love Knitted Dress (Honeysuckle)

Ankle Boots: Gbberish, Candy Shop Boots (Choco)
Necklace: Swallowtail Designs, Jupiter Necklace (red)
Bracelet: Swallowtail Designs, Volume Bracelet (red)

Skin: same as above

Usually I never post pics of the stores but this time, the atmosphere of the store was so nice that I decided to take a snapshot and post it here.

Love, Love, Love These Bags & Boots!!

I had a shoes store that I always liked....no...maybe I should say a boots store. It was a store that I came across when I was still quite new to SL and since then had gone back once in a while to check out new items. This is exactly what I did the other day. No notices or information of a new release of any kind but I just decided to check the place out.

AND.....guess what I found!
I collection of seven bright coloured boots, all with matching coloured shoulder bags!!
And the bags looked great too! Well, of course, the boots were great too but after all, boots was this place's strength. But bags too?

They looked awesome! Not just the details but the shape and size was just right for avatars to carry with short straps so the bag part snuggled right underneath your arm. It had bag animations too so the hand will bend as if you were hold these types of shoulder bags in RL. I stood there for a LONG time, wondering which colour I should get, trying to remember all the outfits I have that I might want to use this bag with. "Black is the most versatile....but wait a minute....with all these colours, black? No.....that's too boring. Oooooooh pink! I LOVE dark pink.....no wait a minute....that won't be versatile enough....then....cream???" My brain cells were seriously being over-worked as I stood there thinking which one I should get.

Finally, I said to myself. "Oh damn. I'll be coming back here anyway every time I wanted another colour to match my outfit. I might as well get them all in a fatpack!" I was so pleased with this decision......until, I saw that there were no fatpacks! I frantically looked all over the place, too sorry to throw my hard made decision out of the window. Still no fatpacks. So I decided to write a notecard to the designer. :P

The next day, Satomi Masukami, designer for "Fussy", sent back my notecard with a simple response. "All set. :-)" That was all I needed to know. I tp'd right away and before I could change my mind and think twice about buying a fatpack, I had already clicked on the fatpack to "buy." YAY! I got two sets for free buying seven colours for a price of five!! I was soooooooo happy.

And off I went for a shoot. I decided to match up a "League" Leather Jacket that comes in three length. The one I am wearing in the pics is the middle length. The short one is VERY short and the long one goes down to just above your belly button. I also wore this cute shorts I found in "League" too. In fact, the jacket was given to me to wear for a show I will be walking in very soon (Feb. 7!!), but I tp'd to the store and found this pair of shorts. It has a micro mini skirt and this shorts in the set but I fell in love with the angel wings printed on my behind. :P Ok, ok, maybe I'm the only one that thought my "behind" looked cute, but that's actually how I felt when I wore this.

I also matched a casual necklace and earrings from "Yukirei Accessories." This is a Japanese store and I must say, I love the details that Japanese jewelry creators have especially on items such as these. And for the amount of work put into them, they are usually very reasonably priced.

Oh I forgot to mention that the boots and bags come in black, brown, blue, pink, purple, cream and red. Seven in all. And the one I am showing you here is the pink one.

Leather Jacket: League, Belted Leather Jacket (black)
Short pants: League, Wild Angel Booty Set-Black (shorts)
Boots & Bags: Fussy, Fussy Boots & Hand bag (pink)
Socks: Shop Seu, Kushukushu Kutsushita (black)

Earrings: Yukirei Accessories, Dagger Earrings
