From the BOSL "Tribute to Coco Chanel Show"

Last week the Best of SL had its BOSL Fashion Week which had a line up of great shows from August 8 through 16, with one show a day, all on different runway set ups. The finale show was the "Tribute to Coco Chanel" show where many designers joined to contribute outfits designed for this particular show, making this a showcase of various designs by different designers that were inspired by Coco Chanel.

Miamai - Euridice White

I don't know how many I can cover but I wanted to show some of them here in my blog. In fact, there were so many splendid designs that I'm just so frustrated that I don't have enough time to blog as much as I really wished as I need to work on the blog in between producing shows.

The first one is "Euridice White" from Miamai. Miamai is a relatively new designer who is quickly becoming one of the top quality designers. monica Outlander, who is the designer for Miamai has an awesome skill with her texture development and she also takes a lot of care in creating the outfit inworld. Her skills are still improving and every outfit she makes achieves a higher level of quality which still surprises me and makes me wonder how far she will go.

The necklace I matched with the outfit is called the Lerian necklace and earrings from R. A. Crystal which is a Japanese store with creator and designer Rama Anatine. Rama provides necklace options with one attached to the spine and the other to the chest, so in cases such as this, where another chest attachment will removesthe shoulder ornament, I love to have this option. Of course, I can reattach the necklace myself but it's a pain especially if you want to style quickly.

The shoes are from the new shoes line just released from Nardcotix. The store is currently under construction but I am sure once it reopens, you will be able to see the whole line up of Nardcotix shoes.

And here is the video of the whole Chanel Show produced by Lowe Runo and Journey Mclaglen. Enjoy!!

From The Wedding Expo

I was one of the models for a wedding fashion show in the "2009 *Something Blue*...Love & Marriage Expo" which was a wedding expo that was running from July 31 through August 8.

One of the outfits I modeled for was Sparkle Skye's "Fairy Tale" in white/gold.

As always, Sparkle's wedding gowns are so lovely and gorgeous. A killer sized skirt is included for grand weddings like those in cathedrals, but smaller skirts are also included so that the gowns can be worn after the wedding. "Fairy Tale" also comes in a all white colour but those who want a gown that is a little different, this white/gold version will be a great choice.

Here, I am not wearing the sparkles she has to take pics but sparkles are also included in the set which will add that sparkly touch to the skirt.

For jewelry, I used the Gradient Set from Flirt. I used these for the show also but what is so fantastic about these jewelry is that the sets are so well thought for the convenience of customers. The necklaces have chest attached versions as well as spine attached versions so it the attachment point conflicts with something you need to attach with your outfit, you can chose the one with a non-conflicting attachment point.

All jewelry pieces are copyable too when most jewelry stores sell their items no copy and transferable. OK I do admit that sometimes jewelry are given to others as gifts. I have always wondered, however, what percentage of jewelry are actually sold as gifts. Maybe it's just me but I hardly get jewelry given to me and most of what I have are purchased for personal use. Then, copyable versions are so much better! I will even go so far as to say, I prefer stores that sell copyable jewelry. Kudos to Skinkie Winkler for this wise choice!!

A Magician Of Colours: Ginevra Lancaster

One day, I was walking through a shopping mall when I crossed a sim border that the shopping mall was build on top of. My avatar started to slide and couldn't stop. All I could do was wait until my avatar decided to stop and when it finally did, I was standing inside an unfamiliar store.

It was a store called "ginevra lancaster" which, even with my extensive shopping trips, had not come across yet. As things started to rez, I gave out a cry of excitement.

Colours!!

I have to admit, I do like black and chic colours but at the same time, I have a passion over pretty colours. Italian designer, Ginevra Lancaster, had a magical way of using colours that simply made her creations look so divine. Of course, I fell in love, at first sight. :P

I ended up buying three of her outfits, and even with these three, I had a very hard time choosing what I will spend my precious lindens on. Her designs were all very attractive.....not complicated designs but somehow always had a twist. I am cursing myself now for not having the time to show all of her creations as her store was a fresh excitement to me.

Her outfits come with matching shoes which is also a blessing since it always becomes a problem to find shoes that match well whenever I have outfits with unusual colours. Some outfits even come with jewelry. So this should make the lives of all colour lovers in SL, very happy and merry.

A Gorgeous Gown Released From Sascha's Designs

Have you all noticed that what makes an SL outfit look good is the texture? Of course, the build, or rather in the case of outfits, the assembly itself can't be crappy. That is for sure. But if you had two outfits that were both build well, what makes the different is a good texture.

The new release from Sascha's Designs, Novice, is one such gown where texture has made a difference. The form itself is simple but with a texture that even the designer herself admits is one of the best she has created.

It comes in seven colour variations; Cognac, Royal Blue, Magenta, Lavender, Seagreen, Gold and Magnificent Red. Here I have worn Royal Blue. Cognac was also a very interesting colour which was a rich brown/red and I had a hard time deciding which I should wear. I think the only reason I am wearing Royal Blue is because it is summer and so hot! If this was autumn, I would have definitely gone to the other, Cognac.

The gown comes with three different skirt shapes, so you can choose from a slender gown to a full ballroom gown. Here I am wearing the one called "S " skirt which flows out towards the bottom.

I matched this with a very simple hair so that the gown will speak more for itself, and also used this lovely jewelry set from "by Alexandar." This jewelry store is a place you want to go if you are looking for coloured jewelry. The rich dark blue of the jewelry set added focus to the blue but I could also wear this with a clear diamond set (white jewelry) and in that case, wear a slightly bigger hair.

Outfit: Sascha's Designs, Novice (royal blue)
Jewelry: by Alexandar, Sylvie Collection Sapphire
Shoes: Haysuriza, EIRIS Pumps Pointed 1000 Classic (blue)
Hair: LeLutka, Ballerina Bun with Pin (black)
